Veganism is a lifestyle that does not involve cruelty to animals and is used as much as possible. This means not eating anything that contains animal products, but it also includes not buying any other products that contain animal products or have been tested on animals. This includes exclusively vegan clothing, beauty products, personal care products, and more. It includes shopping. That is why there are no specific types of vegans such as ecological vegans, ecological vegans, and health vegans. Veganism has many different benefits, but being vegan is truly based on a desire to eliminate animal cruelty and exploitation. While cutting out meat and dairy can improve your health, there are many unhealthy vegan processed foods out there. This is good for people who get infections and heal from time to time, but it does not promote health. Some people gain weight even if they are vegetarian because they eat too many vegetarian meat and cheese options. Check out this article on how to lose weight on a vegetarian diet to avoid this. Many of the health benefits of veganism come from eating a plant-based diet that eliminates not only animal products but also processed foods including fat and sugar. Eating a whole food plant-based (WFPB) diet has been shown to prevent and reverse a variety of diseases and chronic conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. Many famous doctors have written books explaining the health of the WFPB diet. You can check out some of these plant-based diet books here.
