The months are slowly passing and the nights are approaching. We’re entering October, which has historically been a place where people persevere… plus the upcoming C-word… I mean Christmas! There are only a few months left, when the liver will be under a little pressure😊
After all, reaching for a pinot grigio or a cheeky beer at the end of a busy day, or even looking at the world clock and telling yourself it’s gin time! To relieve boredom, we reach for alcohol or, in some cases, sweets like cookies, cakes, and chocolate… all of which put more strain on the liver. This overtime doesn’t benefit anyone. We all need a break and our bodies are no different!
So what do you know about liver, except that it can be cooked with onions and it’s an acquired taste! Most importantly, what can we do to help!
The liver is the largest organ in your body. It can weigh between 1.8 kg in men and 1.3 kg in women, about the size of a rugby ball, and is located in the upper right part of the abdomen below the diaphragm.

It performs more than 500 functions, and one of the most important jobs of the liver is to break down food and turn it into energy! Foods like bread and potatoes (which are carbohydrates) are broken down into glucose, which is mostly stored in the liver and muscles as glycogen. When we need this energy in an emergency, the liver converts glycogen stores back into ready-to-use glucose.
Another important and important role that the liver plays is fighting infections, especially infections that originate in the gut. It does this by mobilizing a part of your body’s defense mechanism called the macrophage system. These are specialized cells involved in detecting and destroying bacteria and other harmful organisms. The liver contains more than half of the body’s macrophages, known as Kupffer cells, which literally destroy any bacteria they come in contact with.
One of the most important functions of the liver is the transformation of potentially harmful substances that are produced or enter the body into harmless ones. However, when the liver is severely damaged and cannot function properly, these toxins can accumulate in the blood. When they enter the brain, they can cause brain function to decline.
Like most of us, we work hard and can take a lot of abuse, but your liver is like an elastic band: it can stretch so much that it bursts!
Definition Of Liver Spleen Scan
Unlike other organs of our body, when they are damaged, a scar is formed, just like on the skin. However, when given the opportunity, the liver has an incredible ability to replace damaged tissue with new cells. It is the only organ in the body that can regenerate itself approximately every 28 days.
Taking care of your liver will give it a chance to recover, so if you have colon problems, why not try a coffee enema.
Improving the health of your liver can have a wide range of health benefits. It is your body’s factory that processes everything you eat and drink. If you take care of your liver, your liver will take care of you.
I would recommend a coffee enema as I use specialty coffee and not Costa Coffee or Gold Blend! The pantothenic acid in coffee stimulates the release of bile, which helps remove waste and break down fats in the small intestine during digestion. It also makes some proteins for the blood plasma, and also makes cholesterol and special proteins that help carry fats around the body.
