Bay Ridge: Palestinian newcomer Ayat opened its doors earlier this month. With a spacious outdoor seating area, the restaurant serves dishes like freeke, mujaddara and mansaf, a lamb dish cooked in a fermented dry curd sauce.

Greenwood Heights: Bed-Stew’s beloved taco truck and dive bar Chilos has opened a second outpost in Brooklyn’s historic Greenwood Heights neighborhood. The new space features an al pastor rotisserie, a selection of mezcals and outdoor picnic tables with plenty of seating. For area taco lovers, the deck will also feature carnitas and duck taco favorites.
Harlem: Upper Manhattan’s craft beer scene is booming thanks to Hamilton Hall, a new bar named after founding father Alexander Hamilton, judging by a wall-sized portrait hanging on the premises. The new Hunan and Sichuan restaurant opened its doors earlier this month, serving fiery meat skewers, mouth-watering soups and Asian-inspired cocktails in a retro dining room.
MIDTOWN: Yuzu Kitchen, a new Japanese izakaya that debuted earlier this month, comes from chef Richard Horike, who previously worked at restaurants like Nobu and Morimoto. Menu items include chicken thigh kebab, tonkatsu, and tofu steak marinated in soy sauce.

The restaurant currently offers outdoor dining, takeout and delivery options, and plans to open dining indoors in the second week of November.
