This includes exclusively vegan clothing, beauty products, personal care products, and more. It includes shopping. That is why there are no specific types of vegans such as ecological vegans, ecological vegans, and health vegans. Veganism has many different benefits, but being vegan is truly based on a desire to eliminate animal cruelty and exploitation. So every vegetarian is doing it for ethical reasons, so we shouldn’t call them vegetarians. This is the only kind! This is different from being plant-based, which means eating only. Many people go plant-based mainly for health or environmental reasons, and that’s cool too! Many newbies find going vegan scary because changing your diet is hard enough, never mind checking everything you buy to make sure it’s vegan. This is why many people focus on eating a plant-based diet and not going completely vegan, which is still fun! I think anyone who tries to remove animal products from their diet or life, even if the changes are small. If you are not ready to go completely vegan, I think you will still find useful information in this article. Why should you eat vegetables? Going completely vegan is mostly for the animals, but there are a few other benefits that might make you consider veganism! When you are vegan, you reduce the amount of animals that are harmed and used. It may not seem like one person is making a difference, but you are! Animal agriculture uses more water on the planet and produces more greenhouse gases than producing plant food. I’m not an expert on the subject, but you can read about some of the ways veganism can affect our planet here. Another common misconception about your health is that all vegetarians are healthy. While cutting out meat and dairy can improve your health, there are many unhealthy vegan processed foods out there. This is good for people who get infections and heal from time to time, but it does not promote health.
