Tips On How To Pray The Rosary
The Rosary is a form of prayer that involves meditating on the mysteries or things that happened in the life of Jesus through the eyes of his mother, Mary.
This idea is the heart of the Rosary. Meditation is a form of prayer in which we think, ponder and reflect on a particular event. We put ourselves on the platform and make it available to us. It is a way to pray deeply about the life of Jesus and listen to what he wants to teach us.
In many ways, the Rosary is prayed alongside Mary and sees Jesus through her eyes. The Scriptures tell us that “Mary kept all these words in her heart and meditated in her heart.” ‘ Which means, it is a prayer aimed at Jesus and his life.
The word rosary comes from Latin and means wreath of roses, the rose is one of the flowers used to symbolize the Virgin Mary.

Let’s pray. O God, your only begotten Son, through his life, death, and resurrection, purchased for us the reward of eternal salvation. We urge you when we meditate on these holy mysteries of the Rosary of the Virgin Mary, to imitate what they contain and to find what they promised you through Christ our Lord. amen Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us. Sacred Heart of Mary, pray for us.
The mysteries of the Rosary are some scenes from the lives of Mary and Jesus. We bring these images before the beginning of each decade and meditate on that idea during the Hail Mary prayer. There are 20 mysteries in total and they are organized by themes – Glorious Mysteries, Joyful Mysteries, Sorrowful Mysteries and Bright Mysteries. The Catholic tradition is to pray the Rosary on certain days of the week and at certain times of the year.

When Catholics recite the twelve prayers that make up the Ten Years of the Rosary, they meditate on a mystery or image related to that decade. If they only pray, aloud or silently, they miss the essence of tasbeeh. Critics, who do not know about the meditation part, think that the rosary must be boring, repetitive and meaningless.
The rosary does not mean “poor repetition”, but when we simply recite the words of the rosary and quiet our minds, the prayer can be very holy. It’s meant to be so much more than just a list of words! The Rosary is a prayer, and for this purpose, it is designed to bring us into a deeper relationship with our Lord.
For the Rosary to be a prayer, we must make it a contemplative prayer. As we proclaim each mystery, Our Fathers and Hail Marys invite us to meditate deeply on that mystery.
The Rosary In Two Minutes
In his book, A Family That Prays Together, Stays Together, Father Peyton explains that the Rosary is more than a series of prayers to be recited. Rather, it is “a series of ideas that must be focused on, revolved around in the mind, and used in daily life.”

Santa Josemaria Escriva, the founder of Opus Dei, explains this practice. “For a Christian, vocal prayer must come from the heart, so that while the rosary is being said, the mind can think about each mystery.”
Saint Josemaria Escriva has a simple but often overlooked piece of advice. He encourages us to say the Our Father and Mary each clearly without rushing. In a
