The Whole Child
Many mothers come to me, saying that their children are sick almost every month. He has a constant runny nose and cough, and he needs to be given antibiotics almost every time. What should I do? What’s the problem, is he often sick?
I will talk about all these things and more. Today is my first post, so I’ll keep it short.
A child’s body is a growing body. It’s like a house you build. If the raw material (Food) eaten is not good, the body will become weak. The house will become weak and collapse easily.
Today children are not getting the calcium they need, and the vitamins we normally get from normal food sources. Mainly because our diet is full of fast food and junk food.

Adults can eat, because even if they eat cookies, the same amount as normal food. But if the child eats 4 cookies, he will not eat 1 loaf. This is a great loss for the body.
If a child eats chocolate or a bag of chips when he comes home from school, he will not come home and eat them. Please stop this habit.
Don’t take the easy steps. I know mom is working today, but I hope food is a priority. I have seen many mothers who give jam bread, noodles, chips, and fruits in tiffin because they don’t want to make snacks or they are too busy to do it.
And don’t tell your child not to eat all those things, if they are small they will eat. You give them an easier choice. You may have to force him to eat, do it, it’s for his own happiness.
How To Improve Your Child’s Health
So start this habit from today. Whatever you put in your child’s mouth, check first, will it add value to the body? If not, please discard.
Children are like wardrobes – only ornaments and real documents, not newspapers or fake jewelry. Similarly, in the child’s stomach only good nutritious food, no junk food.
It seems like a very simple and basic tip to follow, but not everyone follows. Help make it for your child, you will definitely see a big difference in your child’s health. If you have any specific doubts, write in the comment section, I will try to answer them all.

How was your summer? I hope your time with the kids at home is fun! It will be over before you know it!
The saying, “The days are long but the years are short” is true! I really miss my children at home.
Although many days are stressful and exhausting, I will start again from day one. I can honestly say that asking God to help me to “enjoy the day” with my children really made a difference in my attitude and heart.
When we pray verses like Psalm 39:4, “Lord, show me the end of my life and the number of my days; Tell me how short my life is,” it helps us enjoy the day with family instead of taking it for granted.

My challenge to you this week is to write this verse on a little card and keep it in the kitchen sink. Make a living prayer for this season with the children at home.
Ps- One of my favorite parts of summer with my kids is having extra time to learn about Jesus together. For a great list of books to help you share Christ with your children, be sure to check them out
My name is Deb Weakly and I helped create the Help Club for Moms with one goal: to create a community where moms help moms understand the love of Christ. My own childhood was difficult and full of sadness. I didn’t grow up in the presence of Christianity, so when I became a Christian (and soon after, a mother), I didn’t know what I was; I had no idea what it meant to raise a Christ-centered child, but I was eager to learn.
I remember going into my daughter’s room night after night and kneeling next to the bed and crying my heart out to God because I didn’t know how to be a Christian mother; I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. Do you know? God is very faithful! He answered me and just said, “Spend time with me, Deb.” And I did. I started waking up 15-30 minutes earlier every day so I could read the Bible and pray, and plan my day with my family.

If there is one thing I want to tell you is that God is personal and loves you just the way you are. You don’t have to be perfect to be loved by our amazing God! Come as you are! His loving presence can be known and experienced. He is not a distant God, He is near and easy to find. He wants you to come to Him!
Randy and I have been married for 28 years and have two children, Christie, and Jack, and an answer to our prayers is a son-in-law named Alex. And now I will be Gigi to my sweet grandmas, Aspen and Skylar! Yay!
Hello friends! We use cookies to ensure the best experience on the HCfM website. If you continue to use this website, we will assume that you like it. When children have to concentrate on sitting properly, they can tire quickly which will affect their ability to focus on eating. Good posture is important when eating because it supports breathing, provides support and safety when sitting, and allows children to focus on hand-mouth coordination and proper chewing and swallowing.
To ensure your child is successful, you want to make sure they are sitting with what is called the “90-90-90 posture”. This is when you have a 90 degree angle at your hips, a 90 degree angle at your knees and a 90 degree angle at your ankles. The table or tray should always be between the navel and breast level.
Ways To Help Your Rigid Child Relax
Correct posture while eating is very important. The StokkeTripp Trapp chair (shown below) has always been a favorite of ours because it fits perfectly around the table and lasts for years. The seat and legs can be easily adjusted as your child grows to set a 90-90-90 position. If you use a booster seat, you may want to use footrests and back support to achieve proper posture.
