Gift Basket Ideas For Christmas To Make
I think a personalized gift basket with a group of select items is a great way to show someone you care! Here are some gift basket ideas and inexpensive dollar store items to include. I found everything in these gift baskets from Dollar Tree or Dollarama. I then individually identified some of the items using a photo created with my Cricut. If you don’t have a Cricut, you can set them up the other way around (using markers, for example).

To make a basket, place some paper towels under a string basket at the dollar store. Next, arrange all the items above. You can complete the gift with a hand-made gift tag tied to the basket handle and, if desired, wrap the whole thing in cellophane.

If you’re looking to get a little creative and DIY this holiday season, Dollar General is a great place to start! Sometimes “dollar stores” get bad packages for not having a good selection of items or for poor quality merchandise. Dollar General Stores blow that stereo out of the water if you ask me! I decided it would be nice to wrap a warm cocoa gift for my loved ones, since the weather is really starting to cool down here. I found everything I needed to make a fun basket and the prices on all the items were amazing!
My first stop was in the gift wrapping section. They have a huge selection of bags, boxes, ribbons and labels in almost every size. Dollar General has everything you could possibly need for Christmas gift wrapping! Since I’m making a gift basket, I don’t really need a gift bag, but I do need some materials like paper towels, newspaper, and gift tags. I fell in love with these cute little gift tags and found a beautiful burgundy ribbon that just calls my name! I know it looks sharp wrapped around the cart I’m making.
I also found some cute Christmas themed jars that I knew would be perfect to hold marshmallows and hot cocoa. I just came across some great little sticker jars to inspire this too! This is a simple DIY project in itself, so making gift baskets really adds to the fun!

The more I walk down the aisle, the more I seem to find another treasure! I grabbed some fun things to add to my cart and most of them were only $1! I found a nice basket of earrings, a nice little reindeer ear, a pair of cozy Santa socks, a Go with candy candy cane, sweet owl ornaments, holiday t-shirts and beautiful printed handkerchiefs.

Making a snowman and reindeer gift glass is easy. I just opened a jar full of large mascarpone and another mixed with hot cocoa. I grabbed my glue gun and attached craft pieces to each jar. Gentlemen! Easy and very cute!
When I was ready, I tied my ribbons around the basket, put paper towels in the bottom of the basket, and filled it with all the cute gifts I picked up from Dollar General. By shopping at Dollar General, I was able to put together a beautiful gift basket for under $20. Everything I needed was right there in the store and the selection of items to choose from made the project fun and easy!
